A Chorus Line
A musical that ran on Broadway for fifteen years and broke the world record for number of performances, 6137, provides a glimpse onto the rehearsal stage, which for several months will be home to thirty actors, dancers, singers, and musicians. Centered on auditions for a new musical, the director has to choose a handful of performers from numerous candidates. It is a difficult choice, and each of the candidates’ personal stories are moving, amusing, surprising, compelling, and touching. When the director’s former girlfriend, who is a professional dancer, comes to audition, he faces a genuine dilemma.
