Synopsis

Disgraced

Disgraced by American- Pakistani playwright Ayad Akhtar won the 2013 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the 2013 Obie Award for Playwriting.

The play relates the story of a young American-born, Muslim-raised lawyer who is a partner in a Jewish law firm, and the complex relationships between Muslims, Jews, and Christians in post-9/11 New York.

A compelling and surprising human story that reveals a volatile world of identities, relationships, love, and racism, and the crucial role they play in those who consider themselves liberal and progressive.

A successful prizewinning play about the stories we tell our friends, the secrets we tell our lovers, and the lies we tell ourselves.
